TAKING a break from his scrum half duties with the national rugby squad, Jedburgh’s Scottish International Greig Laidlaw has been back on his home turf to throw his support behind a new challenge event in aid of children’s hospice charity CHAS.
Beat the Borders is a 12-hour multi-activity event, taking place in the region on August 21, where members of the public are being invited to take on the Borders by bike, foot and through adventure challenges, completing a 48-mile silver route or 58-mile gold route.
