Langholm Legion 0 Hawick Waverley 4
BAL DIVISION A
FOUR first half goals steered Waverley to full honours.
Waverley got their first during the early stages of the game when a Langholm defender turned a Taylor Hope corner kick into his own net.
Soon afterwards Waverley went further ahead. After tearing a gap in the Legion rearguard with a mazy run, Jordan Yardley whipped over a cross that was slotted away by Hope. Waverley kept up the good work and Dean McColm got his name on the score sheet with a shot that slipped through the hands of the Langholm keeper.
It was simply all Waverley at this stage and before the interval Legion fell into further arrears. Hope drove in a free kick that the home number one could only parry and Jamie Richardson was on the spot to slot away the loose ball.
In the second period, Langholm came more into the game but Waverley were always in charge.
