SHOWING eight changes from their last outing and fielding an extremely young side, Rovers ended up on the wrong end of the result but nevertheless emerged with a lot of credit.
The Legion youngsters battled hard throughout and gave a good all-round show with Alistair Colville, Scott Clarkson and Declan Solley in particular impressing.
After Colville had twice come near to scoring, Tweedmouth took the lead through a breakaway goal midway through the first half. A minute from the interval the homesters went further ahead.
Early in the second half, Tweedmouth struck again. Rovers heads refused to drop, though, and Neil Storey almost reduced the leeway with a header that was just off target. Tweedmouth then went on to notch a fourth.
