Local MP Michael Moore will be in Kelso later this month to speak to professionals working in agriculture in the Borders on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
The Scottish Secretary will be the guest speaker at the annual general meeting of the South of Scotland and Border Valuers Association (SSBVA) in the Cross Keys Hotel at 2pm.
Mr Moore will talk, from a UK Government perspective, about the European reforms and how they affect the devolved regions.
Andrew Linehan, a partner at Lindsays and secretary and treasurer of the SSBVA, said: “It will afford our members – professionals working in the agricultural sector – a tremendous opportunity to hear the views of the UK Government on the CAP reforms.
“I am sure there will be a lot of interest, and we are expecting a strong attendance from our members.”
