ETTRICK Forest Archers are taking a break from competitions to hold a come-and-try session this Sunday at the Waterwheel Cafe on the outskirts of Selkirk.
As it’s Mother’s Day, it is the perfect chance to treat mum – or anyone else for that matter – to something just a little bit different.
Running from 1-4pm, the event sees experienced club exponents take members of the public through the finer points of longbow archery. Equipment will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The cafe is situated on the A708 road out to Moffat, next to the Philiphaugh Salmon Viewing Centre.
