MEMBERS of the Galashiels Karate Club had a junior dan grading recently.
The candidates, pictured, were Sam Johnston, Kieran Elliot, and Shannon Taitt. Sam is from the Gordon junior club while Kieran and Shannon are from the Earlston club. The examiners were Douglas Fowler, sixth dan chief instructor; Martin Brownlee, sixth dan senior instructor; and Malcolm Elliot, third dan examiner.
