Dalkeith 16
Earlston 26
EAST DIVISION TWO
PLAYING against the wind in the first half Earlston were 16-0 down at the break despite having had much of the play.
Scott Bell was stopped just short by a try-saving tackle and Danny Orr missed a penalty into the wind.
But it was Dalkeith who put the points on the board with three penalties and a try from their scrum half, which was converted.
Earlston got their first points with a try through George McDougall, Danny Orr converting, shortly followed by a try from scrum half Ian Dick. The comeback was now well and truly on as Earlston moved up a gear and lifted the pace.
Winger Scott Marshall added a try before Scott Bell got the bonus point score, Orr converting both.
More of the same will be required for Earlston’s next game when unbeaten league leaders Dunbar visit the Haugh.
