REIVERS A lost their second game in a row to let their pursuers close the gap at the top of the Borders Pool League division one.
The Galashiels outfit went down in the last frame to High Level A while second placed Waverley A won a last frame thriller against third placed Ship A.
All four teams have lost three games each, but Reivers are still top with superior frames difference and Waverley have played a game more so there is still all to play for.
Form team of the moment Reivers B eased past the seemingly doomed-to-relegation Ship B and Dryburgh blew away the Fleece to keep their good run going as well.
Division two is turning into a two-horse race with Bridge B chasing hard behind Nikis A and Station.Waverley B scraped another odd-frame win to keep their amazing run intact after looking wooden spoon material at the start of season.
