TEVIOTDALE Harriers travelled to Broxburn on Saturday and enjoyed some highly respectable results in the tricky conditions.
On walking round to survey the new course, all agreed it was going to be a good run.
First off was youngster Fraser Clyne in the U11 boys race. Fraser ran a good strong race staying within the top 10 runners and came in eighth overall in a time of 6.40.
Next off were the U13 boys/girls and Teviotdale had three runners in this race. First in for the Harriers was Ishbel Inglis in 14.20 (34th girl), then Joseph Tottman in 14.47 (47th boy) and Emma Grieve in 15.38 (47th girl).
In the ladies’ race Sylvia Grieve finished in 35.31, position 91st.
Finally the senior men took off and first to cross the line for Teviotdale was Craig Grieve, 36.46 (93rd) then Alan Inglis 38.17 (117th) and Alan Coltman 45.12 (203rd).
The highlight of the day for spectators and runners – though mostly spectators – was the enormous puddle and the skill shown by the athletes in manoeuvring this obstacle.
