GALA Fairydean manager Garry Fraser, whose side travel to Craigroyston this weekend, had a game-less but profitable day last Saturday, writes John Slorance.
Fraser, who is without suspended pair Darren Bowie and Dean Boyne, said: “Although we never kicked a ball, Saturday turned out to be a good day as Coldstream and Eyemouth, who are both high up in the league, drew with each other.
“Craigroyston beat us in the South of Scotland Cup and are a very useful side. We tried a different formation that day and gave players who hadn’t been getting a regular game a run, but it will be a changed Fairydean for this Saturday’s match.”
In a battle of the Uniteds, Kelso tackle Eyemouth at home, with only goalkeeper Scott Dowie a doubt.
Hawick Royal Albert are missing banned Ronald Fleming for the home clash with Ormiston, as well as injured trio Graham Clee, Peter Keenan and Danny May. Selkirk travel to Fife to face Burntisland Shipyard, Peebles Rovers are away to Duns, while Vale of Leithen entertain Heriot-Watt University.
