A FATHER and son duo claimed both titles in Kelso Orchard Tennis Club’s Richie Allan Shield tournament.
The main trophy was won by teenager Nik Stingl, who beat Ben Leslie in a very close match 7-6, 7-6. In the semi-finals, Leslie had beaten last year’s winner Lee Brown on a third set tie-break, while Stingl defeated Paul Woodcock 6-3, 6-2.
In the plate, Gareth Stott, Nik’s dad, beat Nick Rodwell 6-4 to claim the competition for the third year in a row.
