ESTATE agents selling the Black Bull hotel in Lauder say the asking price for the well-known Borders hostelry has been “significantly” reduced with offers now invited around the £550,000 mark.
Colliers International is selling the hotel, at 13-15 Market Place, on behalf of owners Perthshire Taverns.
As a historic coaching inn, the eight-bedroom Black Bull Hotel has plied its trade for more than two centuries to local and passing custom.
Perthshire Taverns has owned the property since 2008, but wants to sell to allow it to concentrate on its other business interests elsewhere in Scotland.
Colliers International director, Alistair Letham, commented: “The business has traded in the past at excellent turnover and good profitability levels and there is no reason, under new owners, why it cannot revert to this.
