Kelso beat Peebles by 161 runs
EAST LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR
Kelso won their ninth Division Four match in a row with an emphatic 161-run victory over Peebles at Sheddon Park, Kelso on Saturday.
A fine batting display by the Tweedsiders was led by a superb unbeaten 103 from Jason Gibson with fine support by the other batsmen. D. Wilson and S. Patterson both reached into the 40s to post a total of 252 for 4 from their 50 overs.
In reply, Peebles struggled to accumulate runs, due mainly to some fine bowling from Kelso with the pick of the bowlers being Tom Grindell with fine figures of nine overs, five maidens and four wickets for 12 runs.
Wickets fell at regular intervals, with only P. Caddick and M. Swan putting up any resistance, and the away team were finally dismissed for 91 in 36.1 overs.
