A LUCKY break in the weather saw John Muir Park cold, but thankfully, dry for the Scottish Prep Schools’ Cross-country Championships.
Twelve schools from all over Scotland were represented, with some 218 children taking to the mixed terrain around the venue.
As always, the St Mary’s children ran their hearts out, each and every one committing 100 per cent, supporting their peers and displaying behaviour which was a credit to their school.
And, much to the delight of the school and travelling support, the under-10 boys team were placed first in the team competition and are now the proud holders of the age-group cup. The St Mary’s under-14 girls were equally as pleased to be placed third in their competition.
