THE BSLT Indoor 6s passed round three and in-form Gala sealed their top-of-the-table position with two clinical victories over weakened Peebles County teams that barely offered any resistance to a rampant Gala team hunting as a pack.

The Braw Lads’ young guns brushed aside the two Peebles teams in a ruthless display of hitting from the batters and tight, pacey, accurate bowling in their final group stages.

Once again, skipper Graeme Ormiston bowled his team to victory with a further six wickets in the two games. Rory Hancock chipped in with a further four wickets to make up for his miserable day with the bat.

In the first game against Peebles I, Duncan Miller and Ormiston made short shrift of the target in just 4.1 overs and, despite a fine brace of overs from James Scott which netted him two wickets, it was Ormiston again who steered the ship home ably supported by Dinesh Theranga.

These three wins sees Gala CC unbeaten in five outings and thus taking an unassailable league position into the semi-finals on April 8.

Results: Gala CC (62-0) beat Peebles CCC 1s (61ao) by six wickets; Gala CC (56-2) beat Peebles CCC 2s (55ao) by 4 wickets; Gala CC beat Biggar CC (walkover).
