Dundee HSFP 15
Gala 12
PREMIER A
ANY chance Gala had of laying claim to the championship were already dead in the water before their defeat at Dundee on Saturday.
However, the losing bonus point keeps the Maroons in with a chance of grabbing one of the three British and Irish Cup places on offer.
Sitting 12-10 ahead, following tries from Opeta Palepoi and Alan Emond and a conversion from Lee Millar, with 10 minutes to go it looked as if George Graham’s men would hold out for the win.
Dundee had other ideas, however, and with time running out their winger Andy McLean squeezed over in the corner, adding to two earlier tries from Scottish 7s winger James Fleming.
