Langholm have such a small pool of players at present that when it comes to a few injuries, then they really struggle for a team, writes John Smith.
That was the situation when coach Ally Little was still phoning round at 10pm on Friday night and eventually managed to scrape a side together, but had no replacements, for the trip to Dunbar.
The match was a totally one-sided affair with Dunbar dominating in all areas, and the only plus for Langholm was that they managed to put out a side, when they could so easily have pulled out.
Dunbar had secured the bonus fourth try by the end of the first quarter and by half-time had added another three, and with four conversions this left the home side 43-0 ahead.
There was no respite for Langholm after the interval as Dunbar ran in another eight tries and added six conversions.
Jamie Peters had a brace of tries and 10 conversions. Other tries came from Gary Peebles (2), Gary Peters (2), Matt McPhillips (2), Antoin Primrose (2), Blair Mills, John Peebles, Chris Blaikie, Andrew Wightman and Ally Brown.
