THE long trip to Rubislaw is never easy for any team, but despite a mid-game lapse, Gala kept their title challenge on track.
The Maroons went into an early 21-0 lead, but were hauled back to 21-15 before the accelerator was pushed again and they ran out 34-15 winners.
The Gala tries were scored by Gary Lowrie, Chris Auld, Ewan Scott and Opeta Palepoi, with Gregor Mein dropping two goals and Ewan Scott kicking all four conversions.
