Hawick Waverley 1
Pencaitland 4
BAL DIVISION A
Although the scoreline suggests different, Waverley had the better of this game.
Hawick were on top throughout most of the match, but failed to make the most of the scoring chances that fell their way, as well as being foiled in several occasions by some excellent saves from the Pencaitland keeper.
Pencaitland on the other hand made full use of their opportunities and gained the honours in the process.
The visitors netted first, but Waverley got on a level pegging thanks to a Dean McColm counter.
Pencaitland then regained their lead, and after Waverley had gone close to equalising on several occasions, the visitors went on to score twice, with both goals having strong suspicions of offside about them.
