A TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of repeatedly assaulting a four-year-old boy over a four-month period in Hawick.
Jordan Shepherd, of the town’s Fraser Avenue, is also accused of making sexual comments to a six-year-old boy.
The 18-year-old denied all charges when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and was granted bail by Sheriff James Scott.
It is claimed the teenager abused the four-year-old at a school in the town and at an unknown park, also in Hawick. The charge claims he performed a series of sex acts on the boy.
It is maintained the offences were committed on various occasions between December 1 in 2010 and April 6 last year.
Prosecutors also allege that the teenager made a series of sexual comments to the older boy at a local school between January and April last year and attempted to get the boy to expose himself.
Another hearing will take place at the city court on Tuesday.
