JAMES STARK, The Craig Conspiracy, and Alistair Hodge got over last season’s hiccup in the Directors’ Trophy and came away with the honours last week, writes Alistair Lindsay.

While, the previous week, with Andrew Reed in place of the taller half of the Conspiracy, Stark’s rink got to the semi-finals of the Yara competition at Perth.

On the home front, in the most recent round of the Masstock Border League, in section one, Chirnside went down 9-2 to Selkirk, and in section two leaders Earlston contained Kelso 8-5, while Greenlaw headed off Lauderdale’s challenge 10-4.

Will Murray and acting secretary Joan Forrest put together a very enjoyable two-session Coldstream Invitation Bonspiel with a very tight-scoring first session. In session two, Robert Forsyth skipped the winning rink to a nine-shot margin over his opposition.

The Dickinson draw is now in the public domain, the first round taking place on Wednesday.

The committee of the unofficial Berwickshire curling association apologises for their tardiness in attention to this matter, and unofficially promises to be more punctual in the future.
