Cameron Thompson from Kelso won the title of the best nine-year-old boy at the Mad March swim meet held at Prestonpans.
In total, Cameron, a primary five pupil at Broomlands Primary School, swam 50m butterfly, back crawl, breast stroke and front crawl, as well as 100m individual medley, and, from these swims, he got one gold and two silver medals.
All the swims produced personal best times.
Cameron is coached at Eyemouth Leisure Centre by Neil Tait and although he has been training for a couple of years, he has only been able to swim in competitions for a year.
He trains three nights a week at the Berwickshire venue and is a member of Eyemouth Amateur Swimming Club.
