FORMER Gala, Melrose, Border Reivers and Scotland hooker Stevie Scott along with Duncan Hodge, who memorably scored all the points in Scotland’s 19-13 win against England in the rain in 2000, have been named as interim Edinburgh coaches following the sacking of Michael Bradley and Neil Back.

Scott and Hodge are skills coaches with Scotland’s national team, but are both relishing the opportunity to put some pride back into Edinburgh.

Scott, said: “I’m delighted to be given this opportunity for the rest of the season.

“Naturally, the big thing for me at the moment is my commitment to the national team, but, come Saturday night in Paris, I’ll be straight into Edinburgh Rugby mode and will be working with Duncan to get the players ready for the home match against Ulster and the rest of the season.”

Both coaches remain committed to the RBS 6 Nations campaign, and will take the reins as head and assistant coach of the capital club after the competition’s conclusion on Monday.
