KING CUP SECOND ROUND
AN EARLY goal from Civil Service Strollers saw Selkirk out of the King Cup in the second round of the competition on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead in the opening minutes when Charlie Brigain played in Stewart O’Neill, who timed his run perfectly to beat the offside trap and slot the ball low into the net past the advancing John Dodds.
The Souters battled gamely for the remainder of the match and were unlucky not to force play into extra time against their Premier Division opponents.
