BORDERS snooker players took a break from league action last week and instead took up the battle to get into the last eight of the A. L. Storey (Opticians) Peebles Borders Singles competition.
A. McAllister (Hawick Con Club), N. Lowrie (Kelso), J. Taylor (Kelso), D. Amos (Hawick Con Club), S. Brown (Hawick Burns Club), G. Kinnear (Hawick Burns Club), F. Kelly (Selkirk) and Rob Scott (Kelso) all go through to the next round of the tournament, which takes place on Thursday, March 22 (venues to be decided).
The semi-finals and final will take place on Sunday, April 1 at Hawick Conservative Club.
