SPORTING Borderers are being sought to enter the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile which is coming to Bowhill, Selkirk.

The town is getting set to host the event on Sunday, March 25, and organisers are appealing for local people to show their support. Entrants don’t have to be sporty to take part, but can choose to complete one, three or six miles knowing that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living unimaginably tough lives right on their doorstep, across the rest of the UK and in some the world’s poorest countries.

Helen Currie, Bowhill house and events manager, said: “From teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock, there’s something for everyone on the big day. This is the first Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Bowhill and it’s set to be a great event. So come on, pull your Sport Relief socks up, enter the mile and do something amazing.”
