THIS Sunday sees the first four sections of the Bannerman Burke Borders Snooker Singles tournament take place across four venues.
Each section, four this week and four in a fortnight’s time, consists of four players who will play in a knock-out format, based on the best of five frames.
The remaining player in each section will go through to the last eight of the competition, who will battle it out at Selkirk Conservative Club on Sunday, March 17, with the semi-finals and finals being held in conjunction with presentation day on Sunday, April 7 at Hawick Conservative Club.
Draw for Sunday, January 13: A. Williamson v P. Corrola; C. King v M. Scott (at Jed Legion). L. McAllister v S. Simpson; J. Forjeik v D. MacNamara (at Selkirk Conservative Club). D. Gray v M. Jeffrey; J. McCombe v G. Nicol (at Hawick Conservative Club). A. Hogg v D. Clark; S. Brown v G. Kinnear (at Hawick Burns Club).
Players should arrive at venues at noon for a 12.30pm start.
