A WORKSHOP to find out how services help families, carers and friends of people on the autism spectrum takes place in Melrose next month.
Autism mapping coordinator for the Borders, Neil Hendry, is working with the National Autistic Society, Autism Initiatives and Scottish Autism on the issue.
Mr Hendry said: “We also want to find out about how communities support people to have meaningful and satisfying lives in the Borders.”
Parents and carers of people with autism and asperger’s syndrome are invited to the workshop.
Mr Hendry said: “It will consist of four activities that aim to gather information to help inform those responsible for delivering the autism strategy within the Borders.”
The two-hour workshop takes place at the George and Abbotsford Hotel, Melrose, on January 28 from 7.30pm.
