AFTER last weeks disappointment at losing to Ayr Gala coach George Graham has decided to stick with the same group of players that have got the club this far this season, for their British & Irish Cup tie against Moseley at Netherdale on Saturday, with the inclusion of Danny Owenson and welcoming back Russell Anderson, writes Fiona Scott.

Coach George Graham said: Our focus has now changed to the B and I Cup which is very important to us as it sharpens our focus and lifts everybody’s intensity.

“It is a great way to get our players to dig deep and test themselves against a so called higher standard of player and higher standard of rugby. We have shown this on numerous occasions this season, and I’m sure we will do it again on Saturday.

Moseley are the only team in the group that have not been beaten yet which makes them a formidable opponent and one the Maroons will have to give their all against.

“If we are to win, we will have to play at the same level which we played against London Scottish when we beat them,” added Graham.

“A huge task, but one I’m sure the boys are relishing.”

Gala team to play Moseley at Netherdale on Saturday (3pm): Bryce Turner, Grant Somerville, Chris Auld, Alan Emond, Gavin Young; Lee Millar, George Graham; Luke Pettie, Callum Mackintosh, Ewan McQuillan, Chris Weir, Opeta Palepoi, Craig Keddie, Gary Graham, Euan Dodds. Subs: Russell Anderson, Martin Christie, Stevie Cairns, Craig Borthwick, Danny Owenson, Andy McLean, Craig Robertson.
