ON A rare autumnal day, Ettrick Forest Riders Association (EFRA) held their second Winter League show jumping competition at Dryden.

A good number of horses and riders turned out for this competition, which ran smoothly thanks to the many helpers who went along.

The nursery was judged by Kirksyde’s Evelyn Anderson and she was happy to help when some people needed extra assistance, as well as witnessing some lovely rounds jumped.

The rest of the competition, featuring large novice and intermediate classes, was judged by Jim Jeffrey.

Although there were only three entries in the open class, this was probably the most exciting of the day with a phenomenal jump-off by winner Sarah Page.

EFRA’s next competition is on December 2, which is the last of the Winter League Dressage competitions and then the last of the Winter League Show Jumping taking place on December 16.

If anyone is available to help at either of these events please get in touch with a member of the committee, contact details are on www.ettrickforest.co.uk
