a Pampered Chef evening, offering quality baking equipment and demonstrations showing how useful and time-saving they can be, is to be the last BAAGS event for the year.
The autism and Asperger’s support group’s event, on November 2, will take place in the Trinity Church Hall, Melrose at 7.30pm, and is open to adults, students and older children.
The money raised from the night will be added to the caravan fund and will ensure the group can buy the new, upgraded van in time for the 2013 holiday season.
Derek Purvis, chairman, said: “We would like to thank everyone who has donated money, time and support to the caravan fund. We are now on the final leg to reach the £12,000 target required. All money raised via Emma Horne’s sponsored run in the Jedburgh Marathon and the commission from sales at the Pampered Chef night will guarantee we reach our target.”
