Grangemouth 1

Selkirk Victoria 1

SCOTTISH AMATEUR CUP SECOND ROUND

A REPLAY at Yarrow Park is on the cards for Selkirk Victoria this weekend following a draw in Grangemouth.

Playing on a 3G pitch, the home side started well, forcing Selkirk keeper Jamie Lyall into a couple of good saves early on.

Ryan Clapperton came closest to scoring for the Vics before half-time, but his lob from the corner of the box went narrowly over.

The home side opened the scoring with 20 minutes to go. The ball was rolled through to the substitute striker, who hit the ball across Lyall and into the bottom corner.

The goal prompted a change of formation as Selkirk pushed for an equaliser and the gamble paid off almost immediately.

Clapperton dribbled past the Grangemouth full back, before cutting the ball back to Darren Munro, who drove his shot past the keeper before he had a chance to move.

The game will be played to a finish this weekend.

Kick off is at 2pm.
