Abbotsford Albion 4
Hawick Legion Rovers 3
BAL DIVISION C
ABBOTSFORD took the lead in this entertaining clash when, following early pressure from the visitors, they broke away and Stuart Burns scored from the penalty spot following a harsh challenge in the box.
Rovers came bouncing back and Neil Storey slotted away an equaliser from a Luke Cooper pass.
The Albion in turn regained their lead through Bob Cleghorn but Rovers soon got on level pegging. After dispossessing the Abbotsford centre half, Luke Cooper darted forward to slip a shot into the net.
Just on the break Albion edged ahead for a third time when Malky Smith netted the ball and minutes into the second half the home men extended their lead through Greig Gibson.
The leeway was reduced when an Abbotsford defender headed the ball past his own keeper when attempting to clear.
From here on Rovers pressed for an equaliser but Albion held out to gain the honours.
