POLICE are probing how a quantity of prescription drugs were stolen from a house in Allars Crescent in Hawick town centre.
And officers have warned that Gabapentin and Propranolol tablets are dangerous if taken by someone for whom they have not been prescribed by a doctor.
The pills were discovered missing by a woman living in the house around 11.20am on Tuesday of last week.
A spokesman stressed: “This medication could be potentially dangerous. Members of the public are strongly urged not to ingest any of these tablets. Anyone who comes across this medication should hand them to us immediately.”
And the police have asked anyone with information about the theft or the location of the stolen drugs to come forward.
