RBS NATIONAL LEAGUE

JED-FOREST will be glad to see the back of Myreside after this hammering.

The winless Riverside Park team also lost second row Neil Cook with a broken hand, while Gary Elder’s shoulder injury made the trip to the south side of Edinburgh even more damaging.

The home side were 28-3 up at the break, with two of their tries scored while having Rory Steel and Niall Dennis both yellow-carded.

Iain Chisholm had converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time to give Jed a sniff, but it soon evaporated with Watsonians running in 50 unanswered points.

In total, Watsonians scored 11 tries, with Steele, Jack Ferguson and Tom Hart all scoring braces, and Dylan Rutherford, Tom Wright, Jamie Niven, Mike Ker and Dom Dunnett also crossing the try line.

Ben Di Rollo kicked five conversions and a penalty.

Jed-Forest: R. McFarlane, D. Wallace, R. Hogg, S. McDonald, D. Gobby, I. Chisholm, J. Hogg; A. Ions, D. Grieve, A. Croituro, G. Young, N. Cook, M. Weekly, D. Grieve, G. Elder. Subs: C. Gillon, M. Chisholm, G. Slorance, S. Raeburn, S. Scott.
