ARE you worried about what your child may be doing online and whether it is safe? Or worried about the impact of cyber bullying?
Lothian and Borders Police are organising free information session for parents on keeping your child safe when using the internet.
The short sessions, developed in line with guidance from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre and delivered by local integration officers, are designed to make online parenting simple and help young people stay safe.
Police say raising awareness among parents is crucial to the success of the CEOP Centre in tackling the sexual abuse of children and young people.
There are three sessions being held in central Borders in October and November – October 18, Peebles Community Centre, Walkershaugh; October 25, Council chambers, Albert Place, Galashiels; and November 23, Borders General Hospital, Lecture Theatre, Education Centre. All sessions run for one hour and start at 12.30pm.
