GALA Fairydean boss Fraser Lothian has stood down from the Netherdale club.
Players were told at training last night that their manager had resigned due to work commitments.
Lothian’s departure comes two days after The Dean exited the Scottish Cup at the first round stage, following a 4-0 defeat at Irvine Meadow.
Gala have struggled this season, losing each of their League Cup group matches with a depleted squad, but then thumped Easthouses Lily 6-2 in the First Division.
It is believed Gala’s committee will discuss potential targets to take over from Lothian this week.
