The award-winning restaurant with rooms, the Horseshoe Inn in Eddleston, has teamed up with The Southern Reporter to offer two lucky readers the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to their Game Tasting and August Harvest event.
General Manager, Mark Slaney, and Head Chef Riad Peerbux, are hosting an evening of food and drink to showcase the new Autumn Menus at the Horseshoe Inn.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm with a welcome glass of Delamotte Champagne for each guest.
Guests will be given the opportunity to sample 20 dishes from the new menu, including haggis bon bons, game pie with chutney, crab and lobster chowder, and pear and plum crumble with custard.
This will be followed by an informal tutored tasting of bio-dynamic wines, and talks from some local suppliers who work closely with the Horseshoe.
Local suppliers speaking at the event will include Andrew Whitley of Bread Matters, Craig Stevenson of Braehead Foods, Gary Welch of Welch’s Fishmongers, and Mike and Louise Forsyth of Forsyths Butchers.
Riad will then conduct a cookery demonstration, giving an insight into his passion for creating a modern twist on European cuisine.
