Lauder 1
Gala Hotspur 0
BAL DIVISION C
LAUDER stopper James Henry produced a man-of-the-match display to deny title-chasing Hotspur.
On a very heavy pitch, Gala created the better chances from kick-off, and should have been ahead after five minutes as Callum Gass burst past the Lauder defence and rounded Henry, only to put the ball wide.
Andy Hardie then had an 18-yard effort tipped wide by Henry, before Lauder’s Andy Crawford saw his deflected shot hit Spurs’ crossbar.
The hosts took the lead on the hour mark as Robert Anderson slid a shot past Glen Murray from 10 yards.
Gala battered the Lauder goal, but time and time again Henry thwarted their efforts.
Rob Young and Hardie saw shots brilliantly saved, while Richard Ramage’s effort was tipped over by Henry before he made a point-blank stop to deny Paolo Da Costa in injury time.
