THE Kings of the Sevens action reaches the Gytes with the Beatson’s Building Supplies Peebles Sevens on Sunday.
As well as the usual mix of Lothian and Borders sides Peebles Sevens have the exciting addition Old Redcliffians RFC, who are based near Bristol and will add an unknown quantity to the event. They will be ably assisted by player coach and ex-Peebles internationalist Graeme Beveridge.
The club are delighted to welcome Beatson’s Building Supplies as title sponsors for this year’s event. They will also enjoy their logo splashed across the front of the players new sevens strips as the team make their way around the King of the Sevens circuit. Beatson’s will be present on the day with their own building display.
Isle of Skye , now one of the longest running sevens sponsors, are continuing to back the tournament and gifting the winners and player of the tournament a bottle of their finest malt.
A later license has been granted, until 9pm, to allow the beer tent at the Gytes to keep the party going after the tournament has finished. All the usual family-friendly stalls will, of course, be present including a bungee run, two bouncy castles, mini-quad bikes and a dunk tank.
Brown Brothers Honda and Harrison’s – Ford will be displaying if you’re in the market for a new car. Of course the Army and Navy will be attending. On the catering front AM PM Catering and Caldwells Ice Cream will be keeping the hunger pangs at bay.
