Hardies Property and Construction Consultants in Galashiels have announced that they have been appointed to provide health and safety consultancy services to the new Galashiels Transport Hub which is part of the new Borders rail link.
The £5million contract will see the Hardies office provide CDM co-ordination for the construction of the new hub, which will link pedestrians, cyclists, car users, buses, taxis and train passengers. The project is due for completion in early 2015.
Senior surveyor Ged Gowans said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Scottish Borders Council and look forward to managing the health and safety arrangements for this vital and exciting project which will greatly improve the Borders area infrastructure network.”
