Gala made it through the Border T20 League unbeaten, despite a lacklustre performance against Melrose.
Gala only managed to bat 15 of their 20 overs, with a total of 101. The low, slow wicket made it difficult, but the majority of Gala’s batsmen played poor shots. Top scorer was Stevie Halls with 29, with Josh Loftus taking 3 for 27 for Melrose.
In reply, Hosny and Loftus staged a fightback until both were out within an over of each other. Youngster King led Melrose to within 12 runs of victory before Gregor Mein had him caught behind for 29.
Melrose were all out for 90.
