The man who steered Hawick YM RFC into the National League, a feat which earned him the title ‘Scotland Top Club Coach’, has been installed as the new Head Coach of Jed-Forest.
Hawick’s Jammy McFarlane had a brief spell with rivals Kelso at the beginning of last season and has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to be involved with a top Scottish club.
Jed-Forest have appointed him to steer their National League One campaign which kicks-off against Kelso on August 29.
Meanwhile Gala RFC have appointed Chris Weir as captain for the 2015-16 season.
