Police have arrested a man for drink driving in Jedburgh.
Officers stopped the 49-year-old in his Mitsubishi Shogun at around 8.10pm yesterday where he failed a roadside breath test.
He was subsequently charged and will appear in court at a later. The man’s vehicle was also seized.
Inspector Keith Dougal said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who alerted us to this matter, resulting in us making an arrest.
“We will always respond to any report of a motorist driving while under the influence and anyone who witnesses such an offence should contact police immediately.”
