PEEBLES golfer Craig Howie is two games away from the final of the Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish Boys Championship.
The 17-year-old meets Buckpool’s Jake Scott today in the quarter finals of the national matchplay tournament played at Murcar Links near Aberdeen.
But his place was only secured after he staged a dramatic comeback to overcome Dominic Dougan in the fifth round.
Howie won the tie at the 21st hole after finding himself two down with four to go against Colville Park player.
The talented teenager will meet either Connar Cook of Caird Park or Lawrence Allan of Alva in the semi’s, if he overcomes Scott.
