HAWICK Museum reopened on Sunday with three new exhibitions.
The museum’s own antique doll’s house, including miniature furniture and dolls, is on show for the first time, part of the facility’s Toy Stories exhibition. The show of more than 200 toys and games from the last 40 years – including Barbie, table football, Tracy Island and other toy crazes – runs in the Waterfall Gallery until May 13.
My Little Lovelies on the ground floor are the drawings and textile work of returned Borders artist Hannah Longmuir, depicting animals and landscapes in the area.
The paintings and mixed media of Alexandra Warren and Claire Blyth form Take Two in the Scott Gallery.
Museum staff used the three-month winter closure to review and restore the facility’s collection.
The museum, in Wilton Lodge Park, is open Monday to Friday, 10am-noon and 1-5pm; Saturday and Sunday, 2-5pm. Admission is free.
